Mathematician who named cybernetics and warned early about automation and work
MIT mathematician whose 1948 book Cybernetics: Or Control and Communication in the Animal and the Machine named the field and set out feedback control as a single idea spanning machines, bodies and societies. He also wrote early and bluntly about what automation would do to human labor.
