Everyone should be able to use this library
This site exists to help people find their next step. That only works if it's usable by people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, captions, magnification, or simply need bigger text.
The standard I'm working to
Launchpad Library targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. I test with automated tooling (axe) plus keyboard-only passes, and I fix what turns up. I'd rather tell you honestly that it's an ongoing effort than claim it's perfect.
What's in place today
- Every control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and interface colors checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios, including the warm terracotta and cream palette.
- Meaning never carried by color alone — free versus paid, active versus inactive filters, and errors all carry text labels too.
- Descriptive names on buttons and links, including each document download.
- Headings in a logical order, plus landmarks so you can jump straight to content.
- Animation and hover motion reduced automatically when your system asks for it.
- Layout that holds up at 200% text size and zoom, without horizontal scrolling.
- Form fields with real labels and errors announced to screen readers.
Known limits
Many resources here live on other people's websites and PDFs. I can't control how accessible those destinations are, so if a linked resource is unusable for you, tell me and I'll look for an accessible alternative to add alongside it.
