Outschool

What it is

Online platform for teaching live classes to learners ages 1 to 18. Outschool keeps a 30% teacher fee; payment comes by PayPal 7 to 13 days after a class starts. Open to teachers in the U.S. and several other countries.

Why I recommend it

A strong fit if you can teach coding, math or study skills to kids. You set your own classes and price, but you keep 70%, and you pay your own taxes. I took the fee and pay timing from Outschool's teacher FAQ.
